9/11 And Covid

Two years back, I wrote about how 9/11 was THE watershed event of my and my parent's generation. Since 17 years had passed since 9/11, I seemed confident with this pronouncement. Sure, there were other contenders, such as the global financial crisis (which was not a single event) or Trump's election victory, but they all seemed to be connected to this moment.

Now, I am not so sure because of Covid. Its still early to say how the world will look like after Covid, but it seems difficult to imagine that it will be the same. Add the rise of fascism and the cliamte emergency to the mix and its safe to say the world may be unrecognizable in 2025.
