The news coming out of India since last week is bleak and is likely to remain so for the next few weeks. Twitter is an endless scroll of desperate pleas for oxygen or remedesevir. I worry that, one day, I will have to seek help on Twitter for my family back in India. My family is as safe as can be, given the circumstances. But, doomscrolling on Twitter, as well as the numerous allusions to doomscrolling on Twitter on Twitter are making me fear the worst. Maybe I should stay off Twitter for a few days? Easier said than done, not because I am Twitter addict, but because I spend too much time in front of a computer to not end up on Twitter at some point.
