Yesterday, I wrote about how not having a social life or hobbies makes downtime from work drag. Today, was the first day of my mini-holiday and I can report that nothing of that sort happened. I savoured the time away from work and watched a movie, cooked, did yoga and listened to some podcasts. The lesson for me is 'one swallow doesn't a summer make'. I had a pretty bad day yesterday and drew inferences about my life and the future based on that experience. That was a natural thing to do. And just because today was a good day doesn't mean my lack of a social/love life won't bother me again. Taking every day as it comes is easier said than done, but it is useful advice.
