Generosity

A few days ago, there was an article about how Bristol University students set up a collection drive to send one of the cleaners at their uni on a foreign holiday. The cleaner was admired by the students for his "positive attitude and happy-go-lucky approach to life".
This gesture obviously doesn't compensate for the fact that cleaners in this country (and most countries) are underpaid and exploited, and maybe it wasn't meant to. However, what I found interesting is that the cleaner was a jolly extrovert, and my heart went out to all the introverted cleaners who won't be going on a foreign holiday. In fact, all the introverts stuck in service-oriented jobs who are dismissed as surly or unfriendly.
