Life Goes On

I woke up this morning and immediately remembered the news from the previous day that had filled me with dismay. But I am chasing down a PhD deadline so I couldn't afford to mope. And, it seemed a little ridiculous to cry over the results of exit polls. When one is confronted with cataclysmic events, one has two options. One can either make changes to one's life in response to that event or soldier on. Life has to go on either way. The world has an endless capacity to surprise us. We all must take responsibility for our own happiness and then of those around us without guilt or self-flagellation.
